The last two days have been a whirlwind of fun…
Yesterday Percy went to his first vet appointment at Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital. They were great and Percy has a clean bill of health. He didn’t like getting his shots so much but he’s a trooper and the stop at Mud Bay afterwards made up for it.
This morning we went for coffee at The Dray. Percy’s not so good about walking on the leash but we made it about 1 block before he refused to budge so he’s improving. He now know SIT, COME, and TOUCH commands – not perfectly but he can do them if he feels like it. He’s been great about using the bathroom outside and really loves his crate.
Percy had his first photo shoot today. I really wanted to make sure that I captured his puppy-ness while he was young so I sought out a photographer to do it properly. I’ve never hired a pet photographer before (this is my first pet) and I wanted to make sure I got someone that could capture his emotion not just how cute he is – because, afterall, he’s a pretty cute subject to begin with.
Working with Kim of Kim Hayes Photography was great. She knew exactly what to do to get him to look at the camera and play without it seeming coerced. I can’t wait to get the photos back. She’s got an amazing portfolio and she not only does animals she does wedding and other life events as well.
I would recommend her to anyone. I will post the pictures once I get them!
After such a big day Percy is like a wet noodle. He lifts his head from his bed every so often to make sure he’s not missing anything and then drifts back off to sleep. I wish I had his life….
